Gynecomastia is a situation characterized by the anomalous development of breasts in men. During puberty,it can be physiological that there is a development of the mammary gland in men too,but after a short time,this situation tends to solve naturally.When the natural atrophy does not happen because of an intake of medicines or other favouring conditions,there is an increasing of volume which does not imply particular physical consequences,but ,certainly, of psychological type.
To solve this situation you can undergo a plastic surgery,which is almost identical as concern technique and procedure,either in the case of true gynecomastia or in the case of false gynecomastia(pseudogynecomastia).
The operation consists in removing the mammary tissue and/or body fat from the breast region of the man ,in the back of the areolas.
The surgery can be done with different techniques and solutions depending on the type of tissue,that is ,a fat one or a glandular one.In any case it is a day surgery operation using local anaesthesia and intravenous sedation,this allows the patient a very short stay,about some hours, and an immediate recovery.
